2018 'Dream is Destiny' Resonance FM [Radio Broadcast]
About the track
For me, this piece reflects the moment of detachment from attaining perfection, the play between the analog and digital worlds. To achieve that, while composing the track, I used an analog wall clock as a metronome and played percussion over it, while the rest of the track followed a digital metronome of the Digtal Audio Workstation, which was set to the same tempo as the wall clock. This resulted in the wall clock following the metronome for a brief moment and taking its own course in time.
Sound-art and transmission-art from London sound art collective Gwaith Sŵn. May 2018 they explore the theme of Rhythm. In response to an open call for new work there are pieces from a host of international artists including Sebastien Sequoiah-Grayson, David Nadeau, Varun Krishnan, Kazuya Ishigami, Olaf Baars and Muesli Boys. A big thanks to all who got involved and sent in material.
