2011 Reclining Man [Wood Installation]

The Valley school in Bangalore is surrounded by forest. In 2011, they noticed that one particular species of tree surrounding the valley had started to grow over the other varieties, blocking the sunlight source for the shorter ones. The school employees, together with Prof. Baoni, came up with the solution to fell some of them and use them to make a large sculpture beside the art village on the premise of the valley school.
This project was organized by Prof. Tejendra Singh Baoni. He was the head of the sculpture department at the College of Fine Arts, Bangalore.
This was a group project. The following is the list of participants: Akshay, Christopher, Marjan, Nishchith, Shiva, Trinajit and Varun.
